Our Simmental program continues to grow as this great breed of
cattle are excelling in both our program and that of our
customers. The diversity of this breed has evolved to mirror
the diversity within the Western Canadian Commercial Sector in
its diverse management systems. This is what makes commercial
beef production different from our true competition, the Pork
and Chicken Industry. The adaptation of cow herds to
environment and the use of genetics to produce beef
efficiently with the resources and management available is the
commercial producers goal.
As a seedstock producer we are responding to the demand for
Simmental cattle that maintain superior maternal and fertility
traits. We strive to produce a line of Red and Black Simmental
Cattle loaded with longevity and convenience traits such as
polling, easy calving, correct foot and leg structure and
balanced pigmented udders. We are attempting to produce a line
of Simmental cattle to fit our customers needs in the medium
to large cow calf operations of the Southern Central Prairie
Provinces and B.C. Simmental cattle have a unique combination
of maternal traits as well as performance and carcass quality.
Produced with common sense management practices, Simmental is
a breed that is well suited for our existing customer base. |
